From Library Journal
Edelman's book presents sex in later life as a significant challenge awaiting the aging individual/couple. This book makes a feeble attempt to explore the effects of age on one's sexual feelings and relationships through chapters devoted to social, biological, and personal aspects. Impediments to sexual wellness and the preservation of sexual wellness are legitimate areas covered, yet the use of subheadings within the chapters produce tedious reading and promote a chopped-up feeling for the reader. Specific research facts, figures, and aging specialists presented are not properly footnoted nor given due recognition. A bibliography on such a timely, researched area of aging would have proven useful. Still, this book is good for generating awareness about the many choices available in exploring the possibilities of sex in later years. An optional purchase.
