Product Description
Updated to include new advances in allergy relief. Fifty million Americans suffer from allergies, and together they spend nearly $500 million per year on over-the-counter medicines that promise--and don't always deliver--relief. Now two specialists in allergy medicine reveal how to manage allergies safely and effectively, and live more comfortable, symptom-free lives.
Written in a clear, jargon-free style, Allergies is designed to help both the seasonal sneezer and the chronic sufferer find the safest, most comfortable way to live with their allergies. This comprehensive and authoritative resource helps readers make informed choices about everything from diagnostic tests to nasal antihistamines and corticosteroid sprays, from homeopathic remedies for poison ivy and insect bites to de-sensitizing therapies and emergency relief for severe reactions.
Allergies demystifies allergy treatment and provides up-to-date information on effective self-treatment as well as traditional medical care.
Reader ReviewsWhen I was diagosed with several allergies my doctor suggested this book. Doctors are often not the best communicators which is why I am glad I had this book as an easy to understand, yet very informative guide. If anyone in your family suffers from allergies I would stronly suggest this book.
