A Guy's Guide to Pregnancy uses a light-hearted and humorous style to equip first-time fathers with an understanding of what their partners have to endure throughout pregnancy. The book is communicated through the use of the male perspective. It assumes that men feel left out of their partner's pregnancy and that they know little or nothing about the changes their partner is experiencing. The forty chapters represent each week of the pregnancy. The chapters are very short. Some are only one page. This makes for quick reading. Throughout the chapters there are blocks called girl talk and guy talk. These blocks share the insights of "regular guys" during the pregnancy and actual moms. These insights do not add much to the content of the chapters, and could be eliminated. They do, however, provide real experiences for those who are not reading but leafing through the book. A Guy's Guide to Pregnancy has a limited audience. Some men will find this fast reading, male approach to be appropriate. Others will want to have more content and an intellectual discussion. The book does convey its message, is user friendly, and will put nervous fathers at ease with the changing relationship with their partners.

Reader Reviews
This book treats men like we are idiots. Instead of providing worthwhile information the author fills the book with childish humor. I returned this book. Instead I will read one of my wife's pregnancy books. Those books provide me with worthwhile information explaining what my wife is going through. DO NOT waste your money.
