Reader ReviewsIf you never used Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 before, this book is THE reference to get on the program in a couple of hours. Donna Baker's writing style is very clear;all the tecnical terms are explained for the novice & intermediate user,the book is full of time saving techniques-hacks-bright ideas-inside scoops and watch out graphic icons,the expert sits next to you on the table! In 761 pages,you'll learn it all from chapter 1 First you find some images(page 1-88)then image editing 101(page 89-238);pick what you work with(page 239-358)all about selecting & layers;not so basic image editing (page 359-421)manually correcting images & retouching magic;from an image to work art (page 423-574),filters,text,brushes & patterns;now that the images look great(page 575-710)printing,creations,slide shows ,panoramic images,managing image distribution,cooking with raw images. The fact that all the photos & pictures in the book are in black & white isn't an handicap and explains the cheap price of the book. In my collection of more than thirty PS books this is one of the best and Donna Baker joins for me the level of the great 'gurus' in Photoshop.Well done;beginners and intermediate users run to buy it!!!
