Reader ReviewsThank you Planchard and Planchard for a great Drawing and Detailing book using SolidWorks 2004. You wrote a very detailed and easy to follow / use book that translates the ANSI Y14 standards for SolidWorks drawings. The authors go thought the excruciating process of relating the document properties to the Y14 standard. This was a real time saver for me. Some books just look at simple drawings. This is not what most companies produce. The book addresses simple and very complex drawings, 15 - thirty sheets per drawing. Who makes a drawing with just three views? The authors provide insight on creating Y14 drawing views. I contacted the authors about a question on the ANSI Y14 standard. The authors email me back with an answer and a solution to two days. This is customer support after you bought the book. PS: The book also has very good fit/tolerance commands and default properties for BOMS and configurations.
