Reader Reviews
Overall, this is a very nice Bible (especially considering the price). However, there are a few things you ought to know before making the purchase: 1) Giant Print = 9.5 point type. Despite what one of the other reviews states, it is NOT 14 point type. Therefore, although the font is larger than what you'll typically find in most Bibles, I think it would be more accurate to describe it as LARGE print (not GIANT print). 2) This Bible is NOT "leather bound." In fact, it is not even "bonded leather." It is, in Zondervan's words, "leather look." In other words, it LOOKS like leather, but is actually a (somewhat) bendable PAPER cover. Looks nice, but it's NOT the real thing! 3) Although I was expecting the cover to be BLACK, as the picture seemed to indicate, the cover is actually BURGUNDY. This may not be important to you, but it's still something you should know, I think. 4) I was expecting a ribbon marker, but there isn't one. (I guess I shouldn't assume.) :) Bottom line: it's still a fine Bible, but it's not all that I'd hoped it would be. Hope this review helped! J. Swartz
