Reader Reviews
This review is from: C by Dissection: The Essentials of C Programming (4th Edition) (Paperback)
After reading through some of the other comments, I get the feeling that those who rated this book badly are looking for a quick fix. If you take the time to read through this book, and do the exercises, you'll pick up C quite easily and get a thorough introduction. One thing I particularly liked were the "Moving to C++" sections at the end of each chapter that introduce you to object-oriented programming. I also had trouble finding many mistakes in this book. When you're finished with this book you'll be ready to move on to "Mastering Algorithms with C" by Louden. It's a good book on C data structures and algorithms.
