Product Description
Wealthy and popular with the ladies, Cecil, the earl of Sutton, should be satisfied with his life. In moments of private honesty, he admits he is still pained by the loss of lady Abigail's hand to his priggish younger brother, Tedric. And now that Cecil has agreed to reform in order to be betrothed to lady Olivia, dissatisfaction with life clouds his days. When lady Olivia's cousin Eunice Norwood agrees to give the notorious cad a refresher course in the intricate rules of etiquette, she quickly realizes Lord Cecil requirements more than better manners. She begins to understand the spiritual battle he faces. Can Cecil even think of marriage to lady Olivia, when it's Eunice who captures his every thought? Fall in love with this inspiring love story and our entire collection of Christian romance novels from Heartsong Presents!
Reader ReviewsThe Lady and the Cad is a compelling story wonderfully reflected in its title. If there was ever a true mismatch, the Earl of Sutton and Eunice were it. The author does a masterful job at showing Eunice's innocence and her love for the Lord. That, combined with the Earl's lost state and desire for something better than what he'd always settled for, created a compelling story. This romance novel is truly inspirational and a real page turner. Better even than the regency novels written by Lori Wick (of which I've read all,) I highly recommend this Heartsong title. The author truly has a voice suited to the Regency period and I haven't read a more intriguing tale written by a Christian author reflecting that stuffy era. :)
