About The Author
Dorothy June Sciarra Ed.D is Professor Emeritus at the University of Cincinnati. She is also a professional consultant and is a licensed psychologist. Ms. Sciarra serves as a board member for the UC Child Care Center. She is also a member of the National Association of the Education of Young Children, as well as a member of the National Association of Early Childhood Educators. She was granted the Teacher of Teachers award by the Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children.
Anne G. Dorsey, M.Ed., is Professor of Early Childhood Education at the University of Cincinnati. She is a board member for the National Association for Early Childhood Teacher Educators and serves as a board member of OMEP. Ms. Dorsey is also a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. She was awarded Cincinnati Enquirer lady of the Year. Ms. Dorsey serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Early Childhood Teacher Education.

Although the text seems dense and overwhelming at times, in the long run this book proves to be a great value with information that you will find yourself referring to again and again as you start your own child care or daycare business. The well organized text includes thorough information for those just starting a small business and those operating a large child care center. The thorough appendix and the CD-ROM with all sorts of printable forms are worth the cover price alone.
