About The Author
In 1986 Coleman Raphael retired as President and Board Chairman of the 5000-employee Atlantic Research Corporation. Following that, he was appointed Dean of the School of Business Administration at George Mason University, bringing it to accreditation and national recognition by 1991, at which time he retired. During his 55-year career, Dr. Raphael has been a college professor (at Pratt Institute), a chief of physics (at republic Aviation), A rocket scientist (at AVCO), a Space Systems division manager and Vice President (Fairchild Industries), a President and Chairman (Atlantic Research Corp,), and Business School Dean (George Mason University). He founded a business incubator in Virginia, has been a director of seven companies (including GEICO and the National Bank of Washington), an advisor to three governors, a founder and CEO of several small businesses, and a teacher of capitalism (for the State Department) in China. His publications include an engineering textbook, two manuals, four journal articles (including science and energy policy), and eleven articles in various periodicals, ranging from science and sociology to ethical behavior. He has a Ph.D, many civic awards, appears in Who\'s Who, the Washington Business Hall of Fame and the Townsend Harris Hall of Fame, and has been a commencement and keynote speaker as well as a TV commentator.
