If you are interested in adult development from a Christian perspective this is the book! Rich with psychological theory Sell helps us see the implications for the church's ministry to adults through all stages of life. Strongest for young and middle adults though taking the traditional view of older adults, this book is seminal for any [Christian ed] adult education course. I use it in an adult ed class and my twentysomething students considered it their favorite text of their learning career.
