About The Author
Jayavel Sounderpandian is a professor of quantitative methods at University of Wisconsin Parkside, USA. He received his master s and doctoral degrees in business administration from Kent State University, Kent, OH, USA, and his bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India. He teaches operations management, business statistics and decision analysis at undergraduate and graduate levels. Before joining the academia, he worked as an engineer for seven years at Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., Bangalore, India. His research interests include decision analysis and supply chain management. He has published numerous research articles and textbooks. Tapen Sinha is the ING Comercial America Chair Professor at the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) in Mexico City. He is also a Special Professor at the School of Business, University of Nottingham, UK. He has a PhD in Economics from the University of Minnesota. He is the founder-director of the International Center for Pension Research, ITAM and an Associate of the Centre for Risk and Insurance Studies at the University of Nottingham. Professor Sinha has published over one hundred papers and five books. He has been a consultant for a number of multinational companies and governments of different continents.
