Reader ReviewsI am an Engineering Manager. I purchased three copies of this book for my department. I would highly recommend this book for any user that has been working with SolidWorks for one or more years. This is not a book for the beginner or a person with no modeling experience. The book provides information on small, medium and large assemblies and detailed information to create, design, and modify assemblies, parts and drawings based on geometric and functional requirements. I have been looking for a book like this for a period of time. The authors review both Bottom-up and Top-down assembly design. We mainly use the Top-down design approach in my company. The book also provides a good overview on using and creating Design tables, Bill of Materials and Custom properties to represent multiple design options. The book has various projects and desired outcomes and usage competencies. They are useful to learn and review existing design skills. The authors provide various industry scenarios that are interesting but are not very useful to me.
