Product Description
This text focuses on providing a solid foundation in SolidWorks along with a competency based project approach. Commands are introduced in a step-by-step manner. Each chapter addresses a progressive learning approach, lists desired outcomes and usage competencies, and identifies a project with reflective information on the previous project situation. The book complements the on-line tutorials contained within SolidWorks.
New in this edition: There are more illustrations and more exercises, plus this book includes a MultiMedia CD prepared by the author to support the Projects.
Please note: Project 7 - Injection Molded Part Design Basics found in earlier editions is now covered in Assembly Modeling with SolidWorks 2003.
Reader ReviewsThis book with the CD saved my job. Half of my department was laid off last month. My company made a decision to switch from Pro/E to SolidWorks. I told my boss that I had some SolidWorks experience, "which I did not at the time". I needed to learn SolidWorks very quickly. I bought this book and viewed the CD. I am a visual learner and the CD was a great tool for me as I followed the book to learn the commands, menus, etc. I just wanted to let people know that there is a very good book with a great CD out there to learn SolidWorks. This book provided me with a solid foundation. Thank you.
