Reader ReviewsThanks to this book, I've got my CCENT! It's a very good book, though it isn't perfect. There's a few typos and editing errors, the introduction claims the CD has video and audio lessons and it doesn't, and the Chapter 8 summary appearently decribes what the chapter was meant to include but not all of it was actually in the chapter (like the Cisco Unified Wireless Solution - which was fortunately not on the test). Despite those problems, it's a good book. The CCENT covers a lot of complex subjects, but this book makes them easy to understand and includes a lot of examples so you can drill it into your head. The written labs are hard, and really good for making sure you know your stuff and actually paid attention to the chapter. You probably should have a router or a simulation program (this book doesn't come with one) but if you have a lot of CLI experience you can just memorize the commands. If you apply yourself and really study this book passing the test should be pretty easy.
