In addition, each chapter that covers a protocol also contains valuable information on all Cisco router commands for configuring, monitoring, and debugging that protocol. Cisco Multicast provides: A complete understanding of unicast, broadcast, and multicast IP addressing; Step-by-step guidance on how to deploy and troubleshoot multicasting in a Cisco environment; Complete coverage of current and future intranet multicast routing.
For those who need to know how to deploy OP multicasting NOW, this is the definitive book for looking at the protocols that make multicasting possible and for building networks that can implement multicast efficiently.
Reader Reviews
Although everything is in this book it doesn't flow well and leads to a difficult read. There are too many "cut and paste" definitions from Cisco manuals. I'd wait for the Cisco Press book on Multicasting.
