Reader Reviews
This review is from: American Skinheads: The Criminology and Control of Hate Crime (Praeger Series in Criminology and Crime Control Policy) (Paperback)
The reviewer, who claims that anyone who is not an academic or social-scientist of one degree or another will be unable to understand the depths of this book, is a prime example of why this book should be read. People who wrap themselves in the pompous cloak of degree-ism--those who defend their opinions by claiming others are not smart enough to understand the intellectual intricacies of their position--are the reason that skinheads are never truly understood by those writing from the safety of their tenured chairs. There is no theory or idea within this book that is above anyone with a highschool reading and comprehension level. The problem with this book could be resolved with a simple change of the title American RASCIST Skinheads..... As for the reviewer, spare us the condescension, you're attitude is the driving force behind social/economical class-ism in the US today.
