I first edited and published the original edition of this book in 1994, when there was not one other book on the market addressing exercising contingency plans. In the ensuing years, one other book appeared and quickly went out of print over a decade ago. It amazes me that, to date, there are no other books in print on contingency plan testing and exercise. So, bringing this book back in print was a no-brainer. Yes, there are a few segments I would like to update further (and plan to when I eventually write a completely new book on the subject) - but, in the meantime, this book is still the most comprehensive and practical source of information on the subject of exercising any type of contingency/continuity/recovery plan.
