A huge tome, that contains lots of info...however, it was written so sloppily, that you need to spend a gret deal of time interpreting what is on the written page. There are numerous code examples, but a number of them could never have been compiled due to typos in the code listings. The text refers to code listings that demonstrate functions other than what was described in the text. In one chapter, even the page/code listing formatting was incorrect. In general, if they would have bothered to proofread the book, it could have been 3 stars. As it is now, it just misses the mark. It is good for a general overview, and if one bothered to read and then reinterpret all of the code samples, it does contain useful information.
