Reader ReviewsI won this book at the 2002 ASP.NET conference and I'm glad I did! Although I have been in commercial .NET development for about 6 months now, this book has still been useful. It covers the development of an e-business site and shows you a lot of the design considerations. Along the way, you're introduced to ways of solving problems you may not have realized. Besides .NET, there are useful sections on SQL Server 2000 (including Index Performance Analyzer, SQLXML, and Stored Procedure tricks), COM+, and a general security/roles discussion. And they present it within a .NET deployment scenario. Although most of the .NET coding techniques are easily grasped, understanding how they all fit together takes time. And this book is useful in helping you see the big picture.
