I would expect from a book with Bible in its title to be a little more technical, but in this book there is no reference to lighting ratios nor the different types of lighting in different positions. As an example what type of light source is best for the main light, what type of light source is best for the kicker light, what type of light source is best for the hair light, WHAT are good ratios between hair light kicker light and main light. If the author chose not to influence the reader with "best use" there could have been some comparative photos to show the differences between lighting setups.
