i purchased this booklet for my college operating systems class, but i still use it as a reference from time to time. it's small, but fairly dense. it lists all the C functions by categories, and then has a function index at the back. it also has a listing of error codes in the front and an ascii chart in the back. granted, these are all bits of information that can be gathered elsewhere, but it is nice to have the information all in one place. it covers the following: ( from the table of contents ) buffered i/o, character manipulation, conversion, debug, directory and file, ELF, encryption, formatted i/o, IEEE floating point, locale, math support, memory management, multibyte character, process execution, process environment, password/group administration, random numbers, regular expressions, search and sort, shared memory, signals, string manipulation, streams i/o, time and date services, terminal i/o, unbuffered i/o, windows, and other misc topics
