The purpose of this text is to familiarize newcomers with their adoptive state and to give students (young and old) a brief overview of who Arkansawyers are, thereby encouraging further study of this mystical and wonderful place called Arkansas.
About The Author
A life-long Arkansas native, John P. Gill is a Little Rock attorney with degrees in history and law from Vanderbilt University. He is president of the foundation committed to restoring historic Curran Hall, co-chairman of the Central Arkansas Civil War Heritage Trail Committee, and a committee chairman for the Louisiana Purchase Bicentennial. He has lectured extensively on the "Trial of Jesus" and was guest editor of the Centennial Edition of "The Arkansas Lawyer." His publications include "On the Courthouse Square in Arkansas", "Top Ten Cases in Arkansas History," and "John Gill's Tour of Little Rock."
