Product Description
Game of My Life: Memorable Stories of Red Sox Baseball traces back nearly seventy years, almost to the very start of the seminal Yawkey Era, recalling some of the greatest players in Red Sox history and some of their greatest games. Beginning with Bobby Doerr, the Hall of Fame second baseman who joined the Red Sox in 1937, this book will touch on players and their most memorable games from every decade right up to those who finally experienced the exhilaration of winning that elusive World Series.

Reader Reviews
Hi, I just bought this great book that tells you like a "VINCE LOMBARDI" styled book how these guys worked together, built their winning team and got rid of their "ghost" which never existed of course, as we can tell, when they played some twenty years back, it was the 9th inning, and the sox were finally on the winning side, and all they had to do was catch the ball, throw it home and we could all go home, but Bucky Dent,(or Ducky Bent)? he had a big ghostly hole in his glove, so they had to throw out that attitude and garner up a winners attitude, and this book is right on for the next buyer so see how these poor "haunted" minds, finally beat the big bad dragon, with their mighty sword and it was great in 2004 and again??? YES! in 2007 what ???NO ghost, no haunting, no nothing!, just bad attitudes, all I suggested was for them to read Vince Lombardi's no excuse book:"When PRIDE still Mattered"! There is no excuse, no ghosts no plaques, no curses or evil eyes, just bad playing. Ask Bucky Dent someday, (if he ever comes out of his cellar"). Yeah, I'm from Fall River, MA. and I never got to see what I did until they stuck together and whipped each other' s butts to win twice within one decade! WHAT??? No excuses these years?? Or Spirits??? WOWWW! Rick Strings" Lauzon
