About The Author
James Denny is a historian with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. He is the author of Lewis and Clark in the Manitou Bluffs Region and coauthor of the Atlas of Lewis and Clark in Missouri (University of Missouri Press). John Bradbury is Senior Manuscript Specialist at the Western Historical Manuscript Collection in Rolla, Missouri. He is coeditor of Newsletter of the Phelps County Historical Society. He published the photographic essay Rolla: The Old Town and coedited a modern edition of A History of Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas.
