Product Review
Lord Stanley's Cup may well be the most ageless trophy in sports, with over 100 years of history engraved on its ever-growing bulk. Total Stanley Cup celebrates that history and the men who made it. Essays on Lord Stanley, the early days of hockey and the founding of the NHL, and the strange things that have happened to "the mug" are accompanied by 16 pages of photographs showing the changing shape of the Cup and famous moments in playoff history. This is no mere history book, however. Total Stanley Cup includes all the stats a hockey fan could want: year by year playoff scores, summaries of each final series game, highlights and playoff records arranged team by team, and full rosters of each Cup-winning team. An great resource to have on your side when debating the pressing issues--what was the first American team to win the cup, and when? (Seattle Metropolitans, 1917.) Which team scored the most short-handed goals in one series? (New York Rangers, 1933.) Who scored the most career goals in the finals? (Maurice Richard, 34 goals.) --M. Stein
Reader Reviews On page 43 of this book, it states that Toronto won the Stanley Cup by defeating Montreal to win the best-of-seven series, 4-2. In reality, Montreal defeated Toronto, 4-0. Before you post a review criticizing another reviewer, make sure you get your facts straight.
