About The Author
Dick Heyler has taught writing for more than twenty years and speaks nationally and locally about oral history and writing. He is a member of the Writing Assessment Advisory Committee for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a Milken Educator Awards recipient, and a director of the Endless Mountains Writing Project. Linda Reilly teaches language arts, French, and social studies in Pennsylvania. She enjoys listening to stories from students of all ages and from all over the world. Recently she traveled to Australia where she implemented the Oral History Project in the Tighes Hill School located in Newcastle, New South Wales. Diane Skiffington Dickson is retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, where she was the Senior Language Arts Education Advisor. She continues to consult with schools and authors items for companies that offer online courses. Stephanie Romano, former president of the Keystone State Reading Association, is an assistant professor in the reading department at East Stroudsburg University. She enjoys collaborating and consulting with teachers, and especially learning about the past through primary sources.
