In "The History and Future of Narragansett Bay" Mr. Jones presents a summary of the history of the people and land areas surrounding Narragansett Bay, a history that focuses mainly on the past 10,000 years when Narragansett Bay was formed during the last Ice Age. In essence this book is a history of Rhode Island--its people, its economic develoment and in chapter Nine an examination of the factors that will influence its future economic success or failure. This book is informative, factual and well-referenced. It should be required reading for every high school student in the state as well as their parents.
