Reader Reviews
This book ise a good historical overview of the different ways ideology has influenced international relations. Nevertheless, don't expect to find in it any theory about how international relations are influenced by ideology. Despite an emphasis on ideology, which is quite rare in the theory of international relations, sometimes this book still feels just like another history of the international relations. Cassels answers to the question "how" international relations were influenced by ideology, but not to the question "why" is ideology important to international relations. This means that this book doesn't give you any pointers about what will happen in the future and how ideology may influence conflicts and cooperation in the coming years.
