    Product Review
Bonfires roared and revelers danced. At least one building burned to the ground that Saturday night in East Lansing, Michigan. A celebration unlike anything the area had witnessed stretched 4 miles west to the state capitol building in Lansing.  It was October 18, 1913. For the first time in eight tries, Michigan Agricultural College had achieved a football victory over the University of Michigan. A lopsided relationship had become a rivalry, and the state’s tiny “cow college,” as it was popularly known in those days, had earned itself some respect.

Forty-one years after Michigan Agricultural College was established as the nation’s first federal land-grant institution, football made its competitive debut on campus. The MAC Aggies opened play September 26, 1896, with a rousing 10–0 triumph—over Lansing High School.

    Book Description
Veteran sportswriter Joe Rexrode takes Michigan State fans through the highs and lows of Spartans football in this book of stories, photos, and anecdotes.
