Carolyn Bereznak Kenny, RMT, MTA, MA, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, BC, author of The Field of Play; Listening, Playing, Creating; and The Mythic Artery
I've been waiting for this book for a long time. Moreno weds two great therapeutic traditions [with] a strong emphasis on concepts from both. Moreno has the expertise, the vision, and the scholarship to help us negotiate this difficult territory. It is truly a sound bridge builder between many fields.

Reader Reviews
This review is from: Acting Your Inner Music : Music Therapy and Psychodrama (Spiral-bound)
"Acting Your Inner Music" is an excellent addition to thelibrary of the creative arts therapist. Like a flowing jazzcomposition, it seamlessly blends information how psychodrama, anaction method developed by Joseph Moreno's uncle, Dr. J.L. Moreno, canbe enhanced and deepened by the use of music as well as many engagingstories and observations from the author's work with music and healingfrom around the world. Psychodramatists will find many ideas tointroduce or expand the use of music in their sessions. Musictherapists, even those who are not trained in psychodrama, can adaptsome of the techniques in working with their clients; art and dancetherapists can draw upon many of the ideas and there are manyapplications for others involved in group work including guidedimagery, improvisation and musical dialog. Musicians, artists andtheater people who know little about psychodrama -- or want to knowmore -- will find stimulation for improvisation and connecting withtheir audiences.
