I consider myself EXTREMELY fortunate to have been able to be a part of the Roots and Branches family 5 years ago. It was a truly profound experience and it saddens me that my career has prevented me from being able to spend another season with the group. BUT Arthur Strimling fills that void well by putting together this book. It is both a manual, memoir and testimonial to the power of different generations interacting with each other. After receiving it yesterday and reading it cover-to-cover last night, my mind is already working overtime with ideas in how to use a model like Roots and Branches to foster community in the area in which I live. I am most appreciative that there's a book like this out there, both for my professional fulfillment, and most certainly, for my personal one too.
