Reader Reviews
This review is from: Three-Dimensional Applique and Embroidery Embellishment: Techniques for Today's Album Quilt (Hardcover)
This is far and away the best volume of information and instruction on the art of applique I have ever studied. This book, unlike others on the art of applique, makes allowances for the readers own personality in fabric selection, technique, and motif placement. The instruction is clear and succinct, the photographs are excellent, and the patterns are flawless. I would not hesitate recommending this book to the beginner and the advanced fabric artist alike. Mrs. Shackelford has outdone herself with this one. Not only does she make the instruction interesting and easily read, she evokes a sense of urgency to get with the applique program and make a block or a quilt
