Reader ReviewsFor the longest time, I've been searching for dance books for my daughter. Nothing too serious like a technical dictionary, just something for fun. Ballet Friends was exactly what I was looking for. My daughter loves reading funny books, and she also takes ballet. In the past, I could never find her a funny ballet book. Funny and ballet just didn't seem to go together. I don't know how it happened, but this book has it all! It's very funny, and all about an interesting group of 12-year-old girls who take ballet and have a lot of fun together. This book 5 is centered around the big ballet recital at Madame Schumann's dance school. When my daughter read parts of it to me, I chuckled along with her and we ended up reading the books together starting from #1. Books 1-4 are equally good and often made us burst out laughing. If your daughter takes dance, you should really consider this series for her. My daughter is ten and she loves it, but I also think it's very appropriate for 11 and 12-year-olds, and even 9-year-olds who are good readers. Again, I highly recommend this book, and am very happy to find such a terrific ballet series that seems tailor-made for my little aspiring ballerina.
