I'm actually a polymer clay artist, and I've gotten more out of this book than *any* other book I've purchased/read in the never-ending quest to inspire and improve my work. There aren't any instructions or biographies, just huge, detailed photos of many, many glass beads, and some information on technique and materials. For me, this book challenged me to get out my clay and try and re-create what I was seeing. It's impossible to have the same effects in glass and clay, so my results weren't similar, but I wound up discovering new canes, new techniques, and new ways to work with PC. This book is truly an education. I also dabble in watercolor, and the beautiful art inspired me to really try and get more a depth in my work. It's an amazing inspiration for anyone in the arts- especially those interested in jewelry and beads. Even guests who come to the house who are not interested in glass/beads/jewelry are stunned by the book. Total eye candy! Treat yourself! Comment | | (Report this)
