THE QUEEN OF BINGO had me rolling in laughter at the Plymouth Playhouse in Plymouth, MN (763-553-1600). I laughed so much I think I lost weight. I read the show a few years back and just saw the show on Saturday, April 9, 2005. I thought the roles were going to be played by women and the were played by MEN which made the show even funnier. The show is about two sisters BABE and SIS who play BINGO every Tuesday night at St. Joes. On this night the place is so packed that they have to sit out in the hallway because someone is sitting in there seats. On my way home I found myself still laughing at stuff. My friends husband kept bringing stuff up and saying that was so true. And he was laughing harder then me. Oh my stomach hurts... The show only runs ninety minutes. They even play a game of BINGO halfway thru the show called the "middle bird special" where they give away a 10lbs. frozen turkey. BABE was played by Shawn Cassidy who takes us on a roller coaster of emotions who you just want to give a big hug. He was wonderful! SIS was played by Dale Pfeilsticker who had his work cut out for him to keep up with Mr. Cassidy. SIS would say things like, "If they knew how much I really played they would have a fit" talking about her Bingo addiction. The two actors play very well off of each other. I saw MENOPAUSE The Musical not to long ago and the QUEEN OF BINGO is just as funny! I highly recommend this play. It runs thru Sept.
