Product Description
Laugh! Go ahead and laugh--out loud! It could be the hair, it could be the clothes, or it might be the fact that your family and friends closely resemble these.
When Tim Mikkelsen and Phyllis Wright-Herman started creating goofy greeting cards, they thought, "Let's just say what people want to say, but won't. Let's provoke, nudge, and push our skewed sense of humor to the masses and see what happens." To their wildest amazement, "the big goof" caught on--and now it's on fire.
Happy BirthdayBlah, Blah, Blah is a collection of the best of the best on birthdays. Sometimes you love 'em and sometimes, well, there could be worse things--you could be dead.
Remember, it's important to laugh, but it's imperative to laugh at ourselves--everyone else is. Enjoy!
About The Author
Tim Mikkelsen and Phyllis Wright-Herman created MikWright, Ltd., by pairing their own family photographs with homespun witticisms to create a line of greeting cards. That greeting card line has grown and now includes books, calendars, napkins, magnets, note cards, journals, mugs, coasters, and more. Tim, Phyllis, and Bob live in Charlotte, N.C.
Reader Reviews... With "happy birthday...blah, blah, blah," these two (one with a name and one without) have answered prayers all across America for a perfect, inexpensive birthday gift. (I'm not sure the humor would translate to some other countries, but you never know.) This book is irreverent, funny and occasionally just a tad well, er...sick. A hardback full of pictures with clever blurbs, this little book is such a delight it should be passed around, so do your friends a favor and leave it unsigned. That way they can recycle it for someone else's birthday gift. Oh, I'm sorry. That wasn't very nice. Here's better advice: Read the book to brighten your own day. Sign it. And tell your friend to buy another one for their friend's birthday. It isn't nice to be such a cheapskate and anyway, Tim and Phyllis need the royalties...
