Step by step, it lays out how to make different basic iceing recipies, ice a cake and create traditional piping and flowers. Includes instructions on various tools needed; how to fill, fold and hold a bag and the uses of each type of decorating tip. Covered most basic shapes, but I especially liked the rose, sweetpea and pansy instructions. The illustrations are helpful. So clear and simple, I had visions of putting Martha Stewart to shame....with a little more practice. A great basic primer, I highly recommend it.
