Reader ReviewsI have gone through a lot of books about cake decorating. None are as detailed as this one (make sure it's Volume 1 ). It is full of pictures and explicit instructions. Most cake books have a little information, or seem to forget that beginners need help practicing borders and flowers. This starts with tips, how to use them, how to do simple and advanced borders, flowers, and a variety of cakes including holiday and wedding cakes. This is truly a cake encyclopedia. While the colors might be not quite the most fashionable (hey, it's a book from the 70's), the instructions and methods will never go out of style.
