I was a little hesitant to purchase this book initially because I feared it may be riddled with video game graphics throughout and just not something I would use. I was wrong and this book is fantastic. Much like the game, once I tried it, I found that it was really well done and well worth the money. This book contains forty songs which are very detailed and are written in staff, tab and rhythm slash. There is also a legend in the back to help explain the notations used throughout the book. For anyone who isn't sure about note bending or how to hammer-on, this is useful. I'd also say that the physical layout of this book is better than some others that I've seen and own. The page size and binding were both done deliberately to help keep the book open and flat on a table without you having to keep putting your hands on it. This is really helpful because you want to focus your hands on the guitar not the book when reading it. Only the first and last songs needed an extra weight to hold the pages in place. I've had this book for just over a month and I've gone from being initially hesitant to realizing this book was very well done and if I lost it, I would quickly purchase it again - and after the Table of Contents, there are no more video game graphics.
