Reader ReviewsThis book was a huge disappointment to me. However, I ordered and received this book at the same time as Fritz's related book "Creative Classics" (reviewed separately), so I know now that Fritz truely is talented, and perhaps Mindful Meandering is really just a Meandering Mistake. I was looking for inspiration for continuous-line quilting designs, so I admit I bought this book based on its title. Sure wish I had seen it in the store first!! So many of the patterns contained here look like they were drawn by a right-handed person using their left hand. I doubt I will be using more than a handful of the designs. The text is quite meager at less than half a page for each of the 3 design sections. There are very few words offered to explain how one can advance their technique, yet I did learn one teeny little tip from one section, which involves using the joined seams to anchor and orient your pattern. This book's contents look more like an artists penciled notebook, and for the price I simply would not recommend buying this book without having skimmed through it first to see if it resonates for you. I rarely regret having bought a book, but this might be among the first.
