Reader Reviews
I have the Guinness World Records 2008 edition, which is definitly superior to this one. This book is toned down for the kiddies that buy anything with "gaming" in the title. Some of the games featured in this book are totally questionable. For example, in the MMORPG section, they feature Lord of the Rings Online, but neglect World of Warcraft. Really? REALLY?? Next, in the First Person Shooter section, they didn't include Counter Strike. Seriously. Finally, on the World's Top 50 Console Games list, the #1 and #2 were Grand Theft Auto IV and Super Mario Kart. No. GTA IV definatly not! And Super Mario Kart? Where did that come from? There are so many other ground-breaking console games that revolutionized genres... but Super Mario Kart as #1? No! If you really want to get a "Gamer's" World Record Book, get the 2008 edition... way better.
