Reader Reviews
This book is really not a book but a simple very short treatise on the symbolism of baptism. If your looking to really engage in the subject and meaning of baptism look elsewhere. Can't recommend this book as it takes such a low view of baptism and doesn't deal with any of the biblical text in a substantial way. The one bright side is that it does have a few good personal stories that may be useful to some. But if you do decide to buy it you will be done reading it before you can walk inside from picking it up at the mailbox. I would recommend reading Stanley K. Fowler (More than a Symbol), Beasley-Murray (Baptism in the New Testament), or John Mark Hicks (Down to The River to Pray) as all of those books wrestle with the subject deeply and will provide substantial food for thought.
