This is one of the few Bible recordings you will hear that is done at a professional level. The actors are all great speakers, use inflection properly, enunciate clearly, pace appropriately, you name it! Background noises and interspersed music is all very enhancing and, in my opinion, not detractive from the text. Background working noises and nature sounds, but not like in the cheesey recordings you have heard in the past. Music is reflective and worshipful; it helps me sense the Lord, not the actors. Hopefully this masterful work will also help to elevate use of the TNIV, a nice translation. (Side note: Those who use the NIV will find a natural progression to the TNIV.) I listen to these CDs every day and have not regretted my purchase. Amazon offers this product at a great price- you can't beat it!
