Reader ReviewsThis book is a reality check for all Americans and people who value our freedoms. The "New Yorker" who dismisses this book as hateful and a bigoted screed hasn't read the Koran. I'm still amazed by the so called "educated urbane Manhattanite" who has no understanding of the catastrophic events of 9/11 and Islam - none. This book is an attempt by another New Yorker to actually read the Koran, and without years of study or research, communicate in plain English what many will not say - Jihad is a holy war against all non-Muslims. The Infidel (read: you and all non-Muslims) cites passages and opines on the Koran. This is exactly what anyone would do with any book, even a religious text. The Bible is quoted all the time by Christians and by non-Christians in all sorts of books and articles. Although, I challenge anyone to find any war-like passages similar to the Koran's in the New Testament. It's a simple fact that Mohammed was a warrior and a militant - it's in the Koran. According to Muslim scholar Bassam Tibi "Muslims are religiously obliged to disseminate the Islamic faith throughout the world.... If non-Muslims submit to conversion or subjugation, this call can be pursued peacefully. If they do not, Muslims are obliged to wage war against them." World peace, according to Islamic teaching, "is reached only with the conversion or submission of all mankind to Islam." Read this book if you would like to begin to know our adversary in black and white. But remember that the "superior class" will call you bigoted and hatemongering. But the "superior class" wasn't pulling people out of those towers on that dark day in September of 2001 -- they are still drinking their latte while some of us had a double espresso.
