Product Description
Most people get hurt and suffer painful memories as a result of living in an imperfect world. But God's original plan for humanity included spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational wholeness. Through the example of Jesus, who heals from the inside out, readers will learn how to experience this wholeness and assist in the healing of others. Let Jesus Heal Your Hidden Wounds speaks to the individual who wants to be or already is involved in healing ministry. This is not another technique for doing healing, but a description of how the prayer minister cooperates with the Holy Spirit to bring healing and deliverance to people with hidden wounds. Each chapter includes several questions for use in a Bible study setting or to provoke further personal reflection. Those called to healing ministries will be taken to a new level of understanding and greater effectiveness from reading and studying this book. And those with hidden wounds will find new hope for restoration and freedom.

Most people suffer from hidden wounds as a result of living in a fallen world. But God's original plan for humanity included spiritual, emotional, physical and relational wholeness. As Christians we are invited to participate in the process with Jesus, who heals from the inside out and sends us to pray for the healing of others. Discover how to cooperate with the Holy Spirit to bring healing and deliverance--whether you're involved in a healing service at church, visiting with someone in the hospital, working with a child who is emotionally hurt, or even reaching out to a wounded stranger. "At the heart of this book is massive, sober, Bible-based wisdom about all dimensions of the ministry of inner healing through prayer. On the practicalities of this spiritual therapy it is a top-class resource." J. I. Packer, professor of theology, Regent College "I love the approach of this book, which presents the key elements of healing as a process. This book is excellent, very balanced, with important things to say." Dr. Francis MacNutt, founding director, Christian Healing Ministries "This book balances the interactions of mind, body and spirit in unique and practical ways. I highly recommend it." The Rev. John Rice, chaplain, Mountain Chapter, Order of St. Luke, director, Centurion House: A Sacred Place of Christian Healing
Reader ReviewsThis book is a "how to" for those who are involved in Christian Healing Ministry. It is well organized and has examples that most people can understand and relate to. Many people have been wounded in this world not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well. Medicine has many techniques to help the physical, Psychology and Psychiatry can assist in healing the emotional areas, but this book outlines successful methods that Christian healers can use to heal the Spiritual and the Emotional. Dr. Long and Rev. Strickler describe to us step by step how to cooperate with the Holy Spirit and keep our ego out of the process in our efforts to help others to heal. As a Christian Clinical Psychologist, this book will remain close to me in my office so I can use it for reference for many years.
