Reader ReviewsReviewed by Laura V. Hilton For a long time, it seems as if education and evangelism have been pitted against one another. One gets all the budget, time and energy-and the other suffers. However, in this book, written by several renowned Lutheran Seminary professors, that if congregations are to be active in their evangelical outreach, then solid teaching is necessary. The book is divided up into three basic parts: Part I embraces the questions, Part II explores the possibilities, and Part III claims the challenge. The book covers a broad range of educational ministry and also provides the tools and kills for outreach. Each chapter also includes stories, questions for reflection, and congregational strategies. The book is certainly full of valuable information for both pastors and laypersons. My husband, a pastor, is excited about getting this book once I finish reviewing it. Armchair Interviews says: Filled with important information.
