Product Description
Fallon Mates - Zeraac's Miracle By Jory Strong Book 2 in the Fallon Mates series. Ariel Ripa requirements a miracle for her daughter on Earth. On Belizair, only a miracle will provide Zeraac d'Amato and Komet d'Vesti with a shared bond-mate. Neither Zeraac, Komet, nor Ariel expect to get what their hearts most desire. But when Zeraac travels to Earth at the request of his brother's human bond-mate, he rescues Ariel and finds the answer to his own and Komet's prayers just as they're the answer to hers. By Council law Ariel must agree to a binding ceremony of her own free will and can only know the truth about Zeraac and Komet once they're in the transport chamber. To follow the rules would mean the death of Ariel's daughter. While to break the law could mean the setting aside of the mate-bond and the possibility of exile for the two men. For Zeraac and Komet, there is no choice other than to risk their honor and their hearts for Ariel and her young daughter. Through love and hope born from the depths of darkness and despair, the three find something more rare than the precious Ylan stones they wear on their wrists a miracle that will change their lives.
Reader Reviews
Ariel Ripa desperately needs a miracle for her daughter, Kaylee. Her marriage had crumbled apart under the strain of Kaylee's illness, though they'd never divorced or separated. Colin, a police officer, had been murdered the previous year. Now, Kaylee has been released from the hospital for the final time, there's nothing more the doctor's can do, Kaylee has come home to die. Zerrac d'Amato is a Fallon male who has been rendered sterile by the virus unleashed by the Hotalings. He has no hope of a bond-mate or children. His intent is to fulfill his promise to his brother's human bond-mate and then go in search of the Hotalings. He never expected to find both a bond-mate and a daughter while visiting Earth. Zerrac hadn't dared to dream that such a miracle would be possible. Komet d'Vesti is a Vesti from the Araqiel clan-house. His house's pursuit of pleasure was what allowed the Hotalings virus into Belizair. Even though Komet has never been involved in the family pleasure business, who would want to take a co-mate from a clan-house that had brought so much suffering. Komet had given up hope of ever having a mate and child of his own. Once Zerrac arrives on Earth, he's distracted from his mission by a child's choking cough and the woman's voice as she talked to her child. Sensing the menace of humans nearby, Zerrac follows the sound of Ariel's voice, saving mother and daughter from the brunt of the attackers' plans. After restraining the attackers, Zerrac turned back to Ariel and Kaylee, only to have Kaylee ask him if he was there to take her to heaven now. Kaylee can see his wings, meaning that she'd have the Fallon marker, so will her mother. Realizing the meaning of this finding for Belizair, Zerrac is caught between his mission for his brother's bond-mate and needing to see to this woman and child. It isn't until, the police arrive and he sees the woman's name on their forms as they fill them out that this woman is the police officer's widow that he'd been sent to check on. Realizing that time is not on Kaylee's side, Zerrac takes a sample of both Ariel and Kaylee's hair to have it checked for the Fallon gene. At the same time Jeqon runs the test for the Fallon gene in Ariel and Kaylee, he also checks to see if Ariel is Zerrac's mate. It's confirmed that not only are Ariel and Kaylee carriers of the Fallon gene, but also Ariel is Zerrac's mate. With Kaylee's time being so very short, Jeqon introduces Komet to Zerrac as a possible Vesti co-mate. Without a co-mate, Zerrac cannot take Ariel and Kaylee to Belizair and begin Kaylee's healing. In order to save Kaylee, Council rules will have to be broken and everybody's happiness put at risk. FALLON MATES is a series I have loved ever since I first read BINDING KRISTA. ZERAAC'S MIRACLE has further pulled me into the amazing world of Belizair and the characters that inhabit it. I can easily visualize this world of winged men and women resembling bats and angels and the despair that the virus unleashed in their world caused. ZERAAC'S MIRACLE restored hope to not only Zeraac, but also Komet, Ariel, and Kaylee. Each of these people abandoned hope of having any of their dreams coming true until they find one another, even then, they must fight to remain together. Jory Strong's FALLON MATES is a series that I hope will continue for a long time to come. ZERAAC'S MIRACLE is a book you'll want to add to your keeper shelf.
