Product Description
A gorgeous and inspiring hard-bound, coffee-table style book of photographs depicting everyday life in Iraq as is rarely seen outside that country.
The profits from the sale of the book go to charities which support the military wounded and the survivors of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the war on terror. Visit our website at www.courage-iraq.com for complete details and information on the chritable organizations we support.
The 240 page book is 11-1/2" wide and 9-3/4" high, and is filled with approximately 300 vivid photographs of Iraqis living their everyday lives, interacting with soldiers from the US and other countries, and the progress of the Iraqi security forces.
The photographs were all taken by courageous US Military Combat Camera photographers during the period of mid-2006 through mid-2007.
The book was authored and compiled by a former FBI Agent, Tim Clemente of Inverness Associates International, Inc., who spent many months in Iraq as a Counter-Terrorism advisor and investigator.
Reader Reviews
If you have a family member, loved one, or are yourself in Iraq, buy this book. Without any political commentary, it will very simply show you the good that is being done, the smiles of an embattled people who clearly show their appreciation in dozens of beautiful photos. I bought this book because I wanted to see a different perspective then what the average news story brings you about Iraq. When I turned each page, I didn't see soldiers, I saw men and women building a better life for their Iraqi bretheren, and the determination and courage of the Iraqi people in keeping their country safe. Be it a Polish soldier giving a little girl a present, a US sergeant extending a helping hand to an elderly women over a flooded street, or a father proudly holding his son while chatting with a patrol.
