When Mohammed triumphantly entered Mecca, he first prayed, then he had all of the religious art destroyed. Next he ordered the killing of every single intellectual and artist in Mecca who had opposed Islam. When he died, he did not have a single opponent who would speak against Islam. Only 6% of the references to Hell in the Koran are for immorality such as theft, lies, murder and greed. 94% of references to Hell are for the intellectual sin of disagreeing with Mohammed. In the hierarchy of Islam, disagreeing with Mohammed is a worse sin than murder. When an intellectual or artist spoke against Islam, Mohammed sent an assassin to remove the offender. One day within the next decade, an oracle will write a sequel to the great George Orwell's fictional masterwork, "1984". The sequel will be entitled "2084" and will dramatically preview for us what the Islamic Caliphate of 2084 will feel like on the experiential level of everyday life, just as Orwell fleshed out the qoutidian consequences of the relentless and ruthless ideological totalitarianism of world communism in the last godforsaken century. But the prequel to such a civilizational alarum was written 1400 years ago! It consists of the Islamic canon -- the trilogy -- made up of the Holy Koran, and the semi-sacred Sira (biographies of Mohammed) and Hadith (sayings and doings of Mohammed). Until now, one could not access all of the original "trilogy" source-texts in one volume, organized topically, chronologically/logically and written in highly readable "newspaper" English to boot, with context provided as needed by the editors. In Volume 8 of their series on what they call "The Islamic Trilogy," the Center for the Study of Political Islam uses the original Muslim sacred texts to show Mohammed's modus operandi vis a vis intellectual opponents of his time. In his day, poets were the journalists, columnists and editorialists of pagan Arabia. They were the intellectual elite, the cognate of the talking heads we see on T.V. cable news networks everyday or read in the op-ed section of our daily newspaper. How did Mohammed treat contemporary poets who dared to opine against him and his techings? Simple, he had them killed! One was a women with five sons who was murdered in her tent at night while suckling her infant (Asma bint Marwan); another was an elderly Jew (Abu 'Afak) who was assasinated because he refused to convert to Islam and opposed Mohammed. This is where the Islamic tradition of anti-intellectual/anti-artist fatwas (death warrants) arose. When Muslims -- clerics as well as "the street" -- all over the world called for the deaths of the people involved in drawing and publishing allegedly sacrilegious cartoons of Mohammed in a Danish newspaper, they had good religious authority for their call to murder. The Salmon Rushdie religious death warrant is yet another modern-day example of ayatollahs (Shi'ite Islamic holy men) merely following Mohammed's example. The current movement of Islamic nations to have a worldwide "Insult Law" prohibiting lampooning, "blaspheming," criticising or otherwise critiquing Mohammed, his sayings and his actions, is firmly rooted in the sacred texts of Islam. The Islamic sacred texts are not politically correct. They are very straightforward as to what must be done by Muslims to those speaking out against Mohammed, Islam and/or the sacred texts of Islam. Those who disagree with the teachings of Islam must die. Jihad is the highest holy sacrament of the believer. Engaging in Jihad, never-ending warfare (inclusive of rape, pillage and massacre) against the infidels, atheists, polytheists and animists, is the be-all and end-all of NORMATIVE Islam, as set forth in the Islamic sacred texts. Any Muslim who disputes this is himself (or, even worse, herself) subject to death threats by fellow Muslims! Read this paperback and learn all about the inverted Islamic reasoning and logic we all-too-often nowadays see on TV news programs and read in our daily newspaper: e.g., (1) "peace" doesn't mean pacific relations between different peoples, cultures and civilizations in the Western sense -- it means submission in the doublespeak sense of "pacification" as used by the US Army during the Vietnam War ("We pacified that Vietcong village" [by burning it to the ground and killing the inhabitants]); (2)the Judeo-Christian concept of the brotherhood of man to Mohammed meant "the brotherhood of Islamic men" -- all others, unbelievers, are members of Dar-el-Harb, literally "The Abode of War" (in other words, fair game for Jihadists); (3) Women's rights (or to be unabashedly Orwellian, "women's liberation") to Mohammed meant total submission to men, legal second-class status under Islamic civil law (the Sharia) and capital punishment for sexual crimes, such as lapidation for adultery --prescribed in exquisite detail in the present-day Iranian Penal Code down to the size of the stones: they can't be too big (too quick a death) or too small (too long to kill the convicted adultress). Because of this brilliant paperback, the average reader can now get a good idea of what intellectual and artistic life will look like in the Islamic Age, circa 2084: Judenrein, fascistic to the nth degree and harkening back to the darkest ages of humankind.
